I've been following Richard Garriott's quest to go to space. For those of you that don't know who he is. He created the Ultima series of games ending with his MMO Ultima Online. In the game he was known as Lord British. www.uo.com. He has since went on to create several other games. None of them seeing as much success as UO. None the less he is still my hero in the realm of video games as UO is where I got my start being self employed.
Richard Garriott's flight to the International Space Station began at 2:00 a.m. CST October 12, 2008 with the launch of the Russian Soyuz TMA-13 from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.
At 2:11, you can see a message Richard held up for the fans of his massively-multiplayer online science fiction PC game, Tabula Rasa. Richard's trip of a lifetime was made possible through Space Adventures, a company whose vision is to open spaceflight and the space frontier to private citizens. www.spaceadventures.com
Richard has stated that he has sold most everything he owns to be able to afford this trip at a cost of about $30,000,000. Richard is the 5th private citizen to make it into space.

He's also the first offspring of an American astronaut to also journey to space. Strangely enough, he was welcomed to the International Space Station by Sergei Volkov, who is the first offspring of a Russian cosmonaut to enter space.
That's his dream come true I think this is awesome !

That is such an accomplishment . It's amazing where the world is at today where we can send anyone with enough money into space! I also noticed the private company is selling a trip around the moon for 100mil. That's amazing!
I heard somewhere that you can now go for around $10,000,000. I think that unless your of older age I would wait as this price is only going to go down. Not that I could afford this anyway.

Even if I could afford that, I would be scared to death being up there. I don't think I ever would be able to accomplish that. Jeez.
